It’ll be tough deciding which one to vote for. Scott Davis has a big sign by Sand City Costco advertising he’s a Democrat (what does that have to do with being sheriff?). I received an invitation from Steve Bernal’s campaign soliciting a $5,000 donation for the chance to pay golf with Clint Eastwood (law enforcement for the masses?).
Maybe Royal is right. Maybe sheriff ought to be an appointed position. But appointed by whom?
