In September 2025, she was exposed to toxic pesticides and required emergency medical treatment. Paola López, de 40 años, cosecha pasas en el Valle de San Joaquín y cuida de sus cuatro hijos cuando no está trabajando en el campo. En septiembre de 2025 estuvo expuesta a pesticidas tóxicos y requirió atención médica de emergencia. El comisionado agrícola del condado investigó el incidente y encontró múltiples infracciones a las normas estatales de seguridad en el uso de pesticidas.
