What an incredible story on Meals On Wheels and the new plan for serving meals to our most vulnerable in the community! Thank you to the local restaurants for stepping up to participate with incredible generosity in making and selling their delicious food! But especially, thank you for recognizing Regina Gage’s leadership in getting this project up and running!
I know Regina very well and she would be the LAST person to tell you how dedicated she is to MOW and our community! She is the driving force that has kept this program in Salinas afloat when many in the Federal Government threatened to cut funding! She consistently implements creative fund raising for the program as well as showering her volunteers with much needed appreciation for their hard work and dedication. She is a positive force of nature and her energy and enthusiasm are inspirational in these crazy uncertain times!
Thank you, VOMB, for this recognition of a powerhouse in our community! And she does all this as well as sit on two boards (one at SVMH) and with her husband, Stuart Samuels, constantly adopts a menagerie of rescue animals! They are an inspiration to all of us in our community!
