Volunteer cleanup set in Marina Feb. 16

Saturday Feb. 16, Volunteer Community Clean-up, 9 a.m.-noon.

Los Arboles Upper Fields between Hillcrest Ave and Reindollar Ave. are used by many Marina citizens of all ages for walking, talking, and playing.

Each year this area needs a spring cleaning. Volunteers maintain clear walkways of leaves and dirt, paint buildings, pull weeds, clean up litter, clean the bleacher areas, and upkeep the pickleball and tennis courts.

We’ll meet in baseball field parking lot at 327 Reindollar Ave. This event is timed for spring cleaning in advance of start of spring activities at Los Arboles Sports Complex. Friends of Marina Parks is teaming up with Citizens for Sustainable Marina and would be great to get about five volunteers from Pony Baseball/Softball for a brief, 3-hour event to clean and refresh the park bleacher area, snack bar weeds, litter around the fields, in addition to the pickle ball and tennis courts, walkways around the fields and bleachers and to paint the storage shed in deep left field.

All supplies and refreshments provided.
