Interim, Inc. is bringing Steve Lopez to the Central Coast for an engaging community presentation: “Mr. Lopez Meets Mr. Ayers: Exploring Mental Illness and Homelessness!
Steve is a renowned Los Angeles Times journalist and award-winning author. We are asking for your support in sponsoring this unique event. The event will be held January 24th, 2019, 7:00PM-9:00PM, at the Hyatt Regency in Monterey.

Steve Lopez is a California native who has been an L.A. Times columnist since 2001. He has won more than a dozen national journalism awards for his reporting and column writing at seven newspapers and four news magazines, and is a three-time Pulitzer finalist for commentary.
Steve is also famous for his popular novel, The Soloist, which was turned into a movie starring Jamie Foxx and Robert Downey Jr. The Soloist is a true story of the unlikely friendship between Nathaniel Ayers and Steve, which began when Lopez spotted Ayers, who he learned was homeless and living with schizophrenia, playing a two-string violin on skid row in Los Angeles.
Sponsorships help support the costs of the event and raise funds to support Interim’s mission to support and provide housing for people with mental illnesses. It also comes with a few additional exclusive benefits you will receive as an event sponsor!

As a sponsor, you will also have the opportunity to meet him personally at a private VIP sponsor reception that will be held before the presentation (6PM-7PM)! We expect this event to attract over 300 people, including our own supporters and interested community members.
