ALBA Hosts Family Farm Day on June 2

The Agriculture and Land-Based Training Association (ALBA) will host its annual Summer Family Farm Day on Saturday, June 2nd from 11:00am- 4:00pm at 1700 Old Stage Road near Salinas. On this day, the community is invited to visit our organic training facility to harvest and purchase fresh seasonable vegetables and delicious strawberries alongside local family farmers while learning about the Farmer Education Program.

Visitors will enjoy the popular hay ride tours around the farm landscape and will also be able to buy freshly harvested produce, flowers, juices, oils, honey and prepared food from local vendors.

Children will enjoy art activities, face painting, a bouncy house, and much more. Visitors are encouraged to bring cash and re-usable bags for produce purchases. Bring your favorite hat and join the fun!

ALBA is located at 1700 Old Stage Road south of Salinas. Heading south on Hwy 101 turn left on Potter Rd, then right on Old Stage Rd. Turn right at the ALBA sign and follow the signs into the farm.

ALBA is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization helping beginning farmers to own and operate farm businesses. For more information, call (831) 758-1469 or visit www.albafarmers.org.
