Mental Health Informational Meeting March 5 in Marina

Fight the stigma and the challenges of mental illness: get educated.

The Monterey County chapter of the National Alliance for Mental Illness is holding an informational meeting on Monday, March 5, in the Marina Library Community Room. The event will include personal success stories, featuring local residents who have benefitted from NAMI free educational programs.

NAMI officials will also unveil details about the annual statewide NAMI conference, which will be held in Monterey for the first time ever.

The meeting starts at 6 p.m. at the library conference room, 188 Seaside Ave., Marina. Admission is free. Snacks and beverages will be provided.

The National Alliance on Mental Illness Monterey County is the local affiliate for the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization. NAMI provides education, support and information to those affected by mental illness, and it advocates for people with mental illness and their families.
