Seaside Police Chief to Speak at NAACP Event

Dec. 11, 2017 – Seaside, Calif. – The Monterey County Branch of the NAACP will hold its regular monthly meeting at the Oldemeyer Center at 986 Hilby Avenue in Seaside on Thursday, December14, 2017, from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.

This meeting’s guest will be Seaside Police Department Interim Chief Judy Veloz. Chief Veloz will discuss her department’s community policing efforts and community outreach activities. The public is encouraged to attend the meeting and ask Chief Veloz questions.

The event is free and open to the public. The Monterey County Branch of the NAACP wishes to invite all members of the public to attend its meetings and hopes to foster discussion about and engagement in creating a more free, just, and equal society.
