The Friends of the Marina Library Launch Community Bookstore –
Friends’ Community Bookstore Grand Opening Nov. 11, 2017
Marina, Ca – The Friends of the Marina Library (FoML) have ventured beyond successful book sales to open an all-volunteer run book store in Marina. It’s the only book store operated by a library organization in Monterey County from an offsite commercial space.
Come check out The Friends’ Community Bookstore, located at 330 Reservation Road, Suite F, at a Grand Opening and Monterey County Gives! fundraising campaign launch Saturday, November 11, from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Meet volunteers, shop and support/learn more about FoML’s participation in Monterey County Gives! The FoMl are one of 158 nonprofits taking part in the end-of-year giving campaign, which runs until December 31, 2017.
FoML’s ‘Big Idea’ is an all-volunteer run book store that will continue to generate funds for free music, arts and community building programming, improvements, and ongoing support such as catalog expansion at the Marina Branch Library and the Monterey County Free Libraries by extension.
The book store will allow books to be purchased every day at bargain prices! Friends’ Community Bookstore is open from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m Tuesday-Sunday. The FoML will continue to have bimonthly book sales at the Marina Branch Library.
While the grand opening will be an all-day open house, food, including delicious Bahn Mi Vietnamese sandwiches from our neighbor Pho Fusian will be offered from noon until they run out!
Support literacy and community building – we hope to see you at the Friends’ Community Bookstore!
