Veterans Resources Topic of NAACP Meeting

Oct. 24, 2017 – Seaside, Calif. – The Monterey County Branch of the
NAACP will hold its regular monthly meeting at the Oldemeyer Center
at 986 Hilby Avenue in Seaside on Thursday, October 26, 2017, from
7:30 to 8:30 p.m.

This meetings topic of discussion will be Veteran Resources and
Information, presented by Donald Jackson, chair of the Veteran Affairs
Committee. Donald will discuss current legislation related to veterans,
such as employment opportunities for individuals on the Central Coast
and the services available to the veteran community. There will be a
question and answer period after Donald’s presentation, which
members of the public are encouraged to participate in.

The event is free and open to the public. The Monterey County Branch
of the NAACP wishes to invite all members of the public to attend its
meetings and hopes to foster discussion about and engagement in
creating a more free, just, and equal society.
