Constitutional law professor to speak at LWV meeting

On Wednesday, January 11, 2023 our own Mickey Welsh, Professor of Constitutional Law at the Monterey College of Law will be the featured speaker at an in-person League of Women Voters of Monterey County “Lunch and Learn.” The event will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Church of the Monterey Peninsula.  Her topic will be The Supreme Court, its direction, local implications and possible reforms.

The lunch will be catered by Chef Faris Nimry of International Cuisine in Pacific Grove. The menu will be grilled salmon, rice, Greek salad, hummus, pita bread and fruit and baklava for dessert — at a cost of $25 per person. The lunch will be at noon, followed by the program. Doors open at 11:30 for socializing and payment (cash or check). Program will finish by about 1:30 pm depending on the length of the Q/A. The program is free if you do not wish to eat lunch.
