Christmas at Alisal Family Resource Center

| FEATURED

By Carlos Castro

The César Chávez Fútbol Academy has organized a toy drive to benefit the families of East Salinas for the past eight years. Dozens of volunteers and staff member of the Alisal Family Resource Center wrap the gifts and deliver to low-income families on a special festive day. Due to the pandemic, the gifts were delivered to the families last year, and there was no food or group congregation this year. But families seemed just as happy as they’ve ever been when receiving gifts for their little ones. For many, it’s the only gift they’ll receive this Christmas.
