SANTA CRUZ, Calif., October 29, 2019 – Owens Corning Platinum Contractors are working with Habitat for Humanity Monterey Bay to provide new roofs to veterans in need and their families as part of the Owens Corning Roof Deployment Project.
Rodney Rego, an Army veteran, will receive a new roof on Thursday, October 31, from Moriarty’s Roofing, Inc., an Owens Corning Roofing Platinum Contractor. This nationwide effort is a way to show gratitude and honor the veterans who served our country and the families who support them. Since the inception of the Owens Corning National Roof Deployment Project in 2016, more than 140 military members have received new roofs.
“We are honored to be included in such a heartwarming project for someone as deserving as Mr. Rego,” said Aaron Pol, Operations Manager for Moriarty’s Roofing. “Mr. Rego sacrificed so much for our country and this is our way of saying thank you for all that he has done.”
Owens Corning Roofing and its network of independent Platinum Contractors, along with support from the Owens Corning Foundation, are donating roofing materials and labor to replace roofing shingles on the homes of military veterans and their families throughout the country. Through a partnership with Habitat for Humanity Monterey Bay, Mr. Rego was selected and approved as the recipient for the roof replacement.
