Community Conversation on cannabis set Feb. 28

GreenTrade Santa Cruz will host a public “Community Conversation on Cannabis” at the Resource Center for NonViolence, 612 Ocean St.,Santa Cruz on Thursday, February 28th at 6:30 pm. (Doors open at 6 pm.)

Stakeholders from all sectors of the local cannabis community including commercial and compassionate operators, service providers, consumers, educators and regulators will meet to discuss the current and future landscape of cannabis in our community.

Learn about the state and local issues affecting the status of current operators in retail, manufacturing, distribution, transport and cultivation as well as the obstacles facing those who are considering participation in the regulated market.

Hear from WAMM on their new local initiatives and the progress being made in developing a statewide compassion program.

Meet local service providers and regulators, GreenTrade members and associates, consumers and more as we address the priorities and trends for the new year.

What have we learned after 400+ days under state regulations?  What should we expect in 2019 and beyond? How are the cities and county working with the state on licensing and enforcement?  What about hemp and CBD?
