Seminar on recruiting nonprofit board members scheduled

Recruiting board members is the topic of a workshop to be held Thursday, July 19, 2018, at the Veterans Transition Center, 220 Twelfth Street off Imjin Road in Marina.  Supper will be served from 5:00 to 5:30 pm with the workshop offered from 5:30 to 8:30 pm.

This workshop aims to help organizations strengthen their infrastructure to best support the agency’s efforts to recruit board members who can take the organization to the next level.  Board recruitment strategies will be identified with exercises to create a recruitment action plan that will build a successful board team.
Trainers:  Karen Csejtey and Tish Sammon are the Co-Founders of Community Builders for Monterey County.  Each has over 30 years’ experience in the nonprofit sector with an emphasis on volunteer management. Karen and Tish will share their experience and skills to address one of the greatest challenges nonprofits face today: recruiting ethical and mission-driven board members.
